Jim
Christiansen and Alan Mickelson began
their entertainment careers in 1962
playing "Folk Songs",
the music that echoed the sprit of the
times. For several years they
performed in various
west coast venues eventually going their
separate ways. In 1995
they
resurrected their
act and have since presented hundreds of
shows to a variety of
audiences from
State and
County Fairs to lodges and nightclubs.
The
JIMnALAN Show is acoustic music in the
50's and 60's tradition of The Kingston
Trio, The Limeliters, and Peter Paul & Mary, to
the comedy of The Smothers Brothers and
Pat Paulsen. The music
selections slide easily
into songs of the West from the influences of Bob Wills, Gene
Autry, and the Sons of The Pioneers, to
40's and
50's pop ballads.
Acoustic
guitars, upright bass, banjo, lots of
humor, and BIG harmonies make
The JIMnALAN
Show an act to entertain not only the
"Boomers" but also a whole
new generation
of young people.
